Patsy Cline Sings a Sad Song

Patsy Cline is old skool country and a goddess of the genre. I'm listening to my box set this morning and this song just played. It's a good one, but oh so sad.

I'm looking for that lonely street I've got a sad, sad tale to tell I need a place to go and weep Where's this place called "Lonely Street?"

A place where there's just loneliness
Where dim lights bring forgetfulness
Where broken dreams and mem'ries meet
Where's this place called "Lonely Street?"

Perhaps upon that lonely street
There's someone such as I
Who came to bury broken dreams
And watch an old love die

If I could find that lonely street
Where dim lights bring forgetfulness
Where broken dreams and mem'ries meet
Where's this place called "Lonely Street?"

Check it out sometime.

Patsy Cline is great. I have her Greatest Hits album. You, however, have a box set. Lucky you... Enjoy.

Hi, yeh, I liked the "Lonely Street" and Patsy's voice as well. She reminded me another good writer - Sara Teasdale and her verses about youth, however life in general.
When I can look Life in the eyes,
Grown calm and very coldly wise,
Life will have given me the Truth,
And taken in exchange - my youth.
If you are interested in wise ideas and such verses, look here for further pleasant reading!
