Do you really think people care what you are wearing or if the colors do not exactly match? If they do then it would seem kind of shallow to me. Care not what they think but what you think.

It's not that the colors don't match exactly, it's that they aren't even close to the same color. I should have worn black shoes today, not brown.

I didn't wear my (black) jacket all day because my shoes were brown.

It looks awful and I assume that other people have eyeballs and good sense to know the same.
