I hope everyone is having a great Thanksgiving.  I am going to spend most of the day in bed with my laptop in my lap and my teevee blaring in front of me.  But later on I'm heading into the city to have dinner and go to a movie with Johndavid and Miles.

Allegedly, Johndavid is going to make a dinner that conforms to my caveman diet, but he has already mentioned something containing Splenda.  I've been over this with him, (I don't know anything about the nutritional value of Splenda, but I know cavemen didn't eat it.) but I didn't mention it again because I really appreciate the effort.

So, I hope everyone is having a similarly wonderful day and celebrating the bounty of our productivity.

The early episodes aren't really worth talking about.  The only notable thing about tonight's episode is that the cute, little baby bear guy got cut.  If you haven't seen tonight's episode yet, I've haven't ruined it for you because I haven't told you that his friend from school also got cut, so there's still plenty of surprises for you.

So, instead of recapping this episode I would like to discuss once again how inappropriate it is that Padma was married to Salman Rushdie.

Her: Gorgeous.
Him: NOT.

It's so wrong.  It makes really makes me question her sanity.

First of all, Ondine is a maniac.  Does she not plan anything?

Second of all, why is Eddie back?  I hate him.  He's a s douche.

Third of all, I love Preston so much and I should have listed that first.  He's totally humpy and I love that he doesn't like being around the other people.  And I really adore his design aesthetic.  It's masculine and modern and sleek, without getting into that hipster mess that Nathan does.

Fourth of all, didn't they have more time to do their final designs last season?

Fifth of all, I love all the "graphic" wallpapers that were on display especially as used on accent walls.

Sixth, Jonathon Adler's description of Nathan's work as "intellectual" is the worst example of word choice I've heard in a while.  Nathan is almost purely emotional.  His intellect plays very little part.  And what the hell is that necklace?  Hideous and typical.

Seven.  Why doesn't crazy hair lady say the first c in "accessories?"  She says "uh-sess-or-eez" instead of "eck-sess-or-eez" or "ack-sess-or-eez."  Strange.  Like her hair.

Bottom lines:
Preston - His style is very close to my style, but he had a couple of missteps.  I love it and I think he should win.

Nathan - His style is the opposite of Preston's for me.  I like a few things here and there, but overall I don't like it.  I do have to admit, however, that he does create some compelling and dynamic compositions in his rooms that I really appreciate.  Elle Decor lady clocked him calling his work "random."

Ondine - I'm not feeling her stuff.  I'd hire her to design a little girl's room or a freshman girl's dorm room.  She picks vibrant colors and riotous patterns.  Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, but it always has a really juvenile, feminine vibe to it.  You can be a grown-up lady, you know.  Like Eddie minus 30 years.

Nathan won.

This was a bad call on the judges' part.  That's all there is to it.

Preston, call me.  I'll comfort you and tell you how pretty you are.Next week, Top Chef: New York starts up!  Bravo has me hooked!
